Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer Review

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Nude Eclipse - £6.49

I picked this up on my lunch break from work as a result of needing another piece of make up to get the 3 for 2 discount - story of my life. Admittedly I was in a bit of a hurry so didn't get the chance to have a proper look at the various colours and the description before I picked this one up.
I chose this as it was advertised as matte and, as you're sure to find out, I am a sucker for a matte lip colour. I love the Topshop Velvet Lips but unfortunately that only comes in two shades so I thought this would be a great nude alternative.
Unfortunately my first impressions are not great, it went on very glossy - like Velvet Lips - but it never really seemed to dry into the matte finish. I also found that when it did dry it looked a bit flakey and made my lips feel dry and cracked. I do prefer the applicator to the Velvet Lips as it gives much better coverage and is easier to control.
The colour it lovely and I'm hoping that when I get a bit more moisture in my lips it will work better but given the time of year I don't think I will be getting much use out of this.

Alexander Wang x H&M

I think I can safely say that the biggest perk I've got from working in retail was the opportunity to work at the Alexander Wang x H&M launch AND get to shop it for 25% off.
There were a lot of split opinions on this collaboration but for me, Alex Wang is one of the few designers that never fails to impress season to season. So, as you can imagine being offered the chance to work with the collection was an absolute dream and felt almost as satisfying as walking home with the massive bag after I'd safely secured my purchases.

Back to Blogging

After possibly the longest hiatus ever, I am finally getting back into blogging. Got so many ideas that I just want to get my teeth into and really hope you'll come along while I battle with my tiny wardrobe and even tinier bank balance.

So I didn't think I'd be blogging again before 2013 because I was meant to be working today but I felt entirely too ill and decided to stay in bed and blog so I'm able to go out tonight. These are my other sales buys, as I said in my last post I haven't had much of a chance to hit the shops but I have managed to pick up a few bargains.

This was only £3 from Topshop, going to be a staple in my summer wardrobe

This beauty is also from Topshop, I got it for £15. I've mentioned before how much I love contrast pieces and the tweed/leather on this bag is amazing.

So yesterday I came home from work to this wonderful sight...

I haven't had much time to go sale shopping because I've been working every day since Christmas (boooo!) so I resorted to sale shopping online and I managed to pick up these bargains from the Office website.

It was love at first sight
